Key Influencer: Dale Nally – Associate Minister of Natural Gas and Electricity
Dale Nally is the MLA for Morinville-St. Albert. He was elected for the first time in the 2019 election and currently serves as the Associate Minister of Natural Gas and Electricity. He also serves on the Treasury Board and the Resource and Sustainable Development Cabinet Policy Committee. Treasury Board approves the government’s budget and capital plan and any variance to the budget throughout the year. His membership on Treasury Board is a sign that Premier Kenney trusts Mr. Nally to help guide Alberta back to a balanced budget through a diversified economy.
Through his excellent handling of the natural gas file, he has been trusted with the electricity file. Electricity is an extremely complicated file. Assigning electricity policy to Mr. Nally is a sign of the trust that Premier Kenney has in him. Mr. Nally has been successful in finding ways for the Government of Alberta to diversify the natural gas industry in Alberta.
Before being elected as an MLA, Mr. Nally managed large-scale retail operations. The operations included hundreds of employees and annual sales revenue exceeding $50 million. Mr. Nally has a Master of Education Degree from Athabasca University. He is also an alumnus of NAIT.
