Key Influencer – Becca Pollak – Rebecca Schulz Campaign Manager
Becca Polak has been actively engaged in Alberta politics for the better part of a decade. She first volunteered as a director with the Calgary-Currie Wildrose Constituency Association, and later went on to become the Vice-President of Communications for the Wildrose Party. When the two parties merged, Polak served as a director on the Interim Executive Joint Board and continued to serve on local constituency associations both federally and provincially. She also ran as a candidate herself in the 2018 UCP nomination race in Calgary-Mountain View.
Polak went on to work as an associate with New West Public Affairs and later as the social media director with Alberta Proud. In the fall of 2020, Polak entered the public service and began her time in the Alberta Legislature. It is here where she served as the press secretary for the Minister of Children Services - and the minister she served was none other than Rebecca Schulz. Polak is currently on a leave of absence from her role as Issues Manager to the Premier’s office to focus on the campaign.
Relationships matter in politics and Polak was able to build trust. After first gaining experience in a variety of roles, she is now at the helm of one of the seven campaigns vying for its candidate to become the next Premier of Alberta.
