With the 31st Legislature kicking off at the end of month and promising to see discussion of several hot-button issues, including the possibility of transitioning from a federally administered pension program to a provincial one, there are likely few provincial staffers busier than Chief of Staff of the Official Opposition, Jeremy Nolais.

After receiving his Bachelor of Communications in Journalism at Mount Royal University, Jeremy Nolais started his career as a reporter and photojournalist. Nolais worked as the Press Secretary for the Ministers of Education and Culture and Tourism after the 2015 provincial election before moving into the Chief of Staff position for the Minister of Education. In 2017, Nolais was promoted to Issues Director for the Office of the Premier, and since 2019 has served as the Chief of Staff of the Official Opposition.

As Chief of Staff, Nolais will hold a critical role with the NDP Caucus as they return to the Legislature with the largest opposition roster in history. While he will no doubt be focused on the upcoming session, he will be a key figure in helping the party as they prepare for the next election in 2027.
