Key Influencer - Jamie Mozeson - Deputy Director of the Premier’s Office
A little more than a year after departing from the provincial government, a familiar face finds herself back in the Legislature in a new role. Premier Danielle Smith has brough on Jamie Mozeson to serve in her office as the UCP ramps up efforts to get ready for the 2023 provincial election. She will serve as the deputy director of the premier’s office.
Mozeson is no stranger to the Alberta Legislature. Prior to joining conservative organizer Jenni Byrne’s public affairs firm, she worked as Minister Nate Glubish’s chief of staff in Service Alberta from 2019 until 2021. Prior to the last election, Mozeson worked directly with Jason Kenney as the deputy chief of staff of the official opposition starting in 2017.
Prior to the 2015 provincial election, she also spent time with then-Premier Jim Prentice as his manager of policy and priorities. When the NDP won that election, she made the jump to federal politics – joining the Conservative Party of Canada as the regional organizer for the prairies.
As Premier Smith and her team prepare for the next provincial election, Mozeson will play a critical role ensuring the party is prepared and organized. The experience she brings from both government and opposition roles with multiple party leaders will serve her in this role well.
