Key Influencer – Tara Jago – Executive Director of Issues Management

Tara Jago has replaced Matt Wolf as Executive Director of Issues Management for Jason Kenney after Wolf’s resignation from the position on December 3, 2021. Jago brings to this position her experience in Alberta as Issues Manager for Tyler Shandro in his former role as Minister of Health throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. She also brings her experience as Chief of Staff and Senior Strategic Advisor to Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Economic Development, Nate Horner.

Tara Jago hails from Manitoba, where she completed post-secondary education and started work in politics. She attended Brandon University until 2015 where she studied in Bachelor of  Science and Bachelor of Education degree programs. After graduating with Greatest Distinction—a GPA of greater than 3.9—she worked as a Legislative Intern at the Manitoba Legislative Assembly. The following year, Jago worked as a Policy Analyst for the Progressive Conservative Caucus of Manitoba. She started at the Office the Premier of Manitoba in 2017 as an Issues Management Officer and later became Manager of Legislative Affairs.
